KLCCP Stapled Group is proud to have won the Silver Award in the Excellence Awards for Companies with Market Capitalisation above RM10 Billion category at the prestigious National Annual Corporate Report Awards (NACRA) 2024.  This recognition underscores the Group’s dedication to delivering a transparent, comprehensive, and engaging Integrated Annual Report 2023, showcasing its commitment to corporate governance, accountability, and creating value for its stakeholders.  It also reflected the Group’s steadfast focus on sustainability, resilience, and long-term strategic goals.

Winning this award is no small feat, as the NACRA is widely regarded as one of the most competitive and highly esteemed platforms for corporate reporting excellence in Malaysia. Companies must demonstrate exceptional standards in financial disclosure, communication, and stakeholder engagement to earn a spot among the winners.

NACRA introduced a new award structure in 2020, wherein organisations compete for the Excellence Award based on market capitalisation, instead of competing within their respective industry. With this change, KLCCP Stapled Group competes against organisations with over RM10 billion in market capitalisation, alongside major players in the oil and gas industry, financial services, and telecommunications companies. With this new NACRA structure, the competition is tougher.  Thus, this win is indeed a major milestone in KLCCP Stapled Group’s annual report history. The previous NACRA wins for KLCCP Stapled Group was in 2017, 2018 and 2019.   

This Silver Award at NACRA 2024 reinforces KLCCP Stapled Group’s reputation as a forward-thinking and transparent organisation, inspiring confidence among investors and stakeholders alike.

Other winners in this highly competitive category included Malayan Banking Berhad, who clinched the Platinum Award, while CIMB Group Holdings Berhad, Telekom Malaysia Berhad and Sime Darby Berhad each won the Gold Award.  Axiata Group Berhad and SD Guthrie Berhad also won the Silver Award.  The category’s rigorous evaluation criteria, including the integration of sustainability elements, strategic alignment, and clarity in financial and operational reporting, make this achievement particularly noteworthy.

Organised annually by prominent professional bodies in Malaysia, including the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), and Bursa Malaysia, NACRA sets the benchmark for excellence in corporate reporting. The awards celebrate organisations that showcase the highest standards of disclosure, communication, and presentation in their annual reports.

The award ceremony took place on 28 November 2024, at The Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur with Chief Executive Officer of the Group, Datuk Sr. Mohd Salem Kailany in attendance to receive the award.
